Aussie Comedy Kingdom

'Series 1 of TWENTYSOMETHING ended with Jess (Jess Harris) and Josh (Josh Schmidt) throwing caution to the wind and departing on a big overseas adventure. However, when the pair return home in Series 2, they discover that everyones moved on - including Jesss on and off again boyfriend Billy (Hamish Blake). With the looming reality of thirtysomething, and Jess not being able to pull off wearing pigtails anymore, this series sees the characters pursue a life beyond get-rich-quick schemes by finally asking the fundamental question: What are we destined to do?. With broken limbs, broken hearts, robberies, insurance scams and at home courtroom dramas all creating hilarious bumps in the road to self-discovery, Jess and Josh might be getting older, but they will always refuse to grow up.'

twentysomething is an enjoyable, light-hearted comedy series that follows two mates who never really grew up. Following on from Season 1, Jess and Josh are back and looking to move on with life after a long overseas work/holiday adventure.

The real adventures start in this new season, when Jess and Josh return home and discover that everyone has moved on with life. Josh’s brother Nick and his wife Fiona are new parents, close friend Abby has a full time job, and worst of all Jess’ on again-off again boyfriend Billy (played by Hamish Blake Hamish & Andy) has found a girlfriend who will actually commit. As a bonus, it's great to see Hamish Blake in a different role to his usual cheeky self, which is taken over by Jess in the program.

Season two is also full of exciting new faces; we meet Jess' Dad (Glenn Robbins – Kath & Kim), a hard working, straight talking tradie with a big heart and a plethora of tricks up his sleeve. With a third room to fill, Jess and Josh go on a search for the perfect house mate and find DAN (Luke Wallace), an extremely good looking musician to decorate the house. Jess gets a visit from her overseas fling CHRIS (Clayton Watson - Howzat! Kerry Packer's War), an unpredictable party pig with whom she shares train wreck chemistry.

The DVD also contains a behind the scenes 'Making Of' featurette, along with 6 extra webisodes of Jess and Josh's European adventure before the series was aired.

All in all, twentysomething is a fun and funny program that I definitely recommend you check out. To be honest, its comedy for anyone with a sense of humour, mainly the older teens/young adults demographic. Enjoy!
